Tel Tif’dan

Mohammad Najjar talking about the Neolithic site of Tel Tif’dan

Tel Tif’dan is Pre-Pottery Neolithic B site from the later stage of that period and was dated approximately to 9000 years old.

The site is important because of its architecture. We were able to find out that most probably the site was a specialised site in bead production.

We found lots of beads, finished and unfinished ones at different stages of manufacturing. And we found hundreds of small pierces to produce these beads. We think that specialisation started in the Neolithic period with sites like this.
